Check your domain is working

Before you start

• Your DNS records added, and BPA showing the domain as verified.

Steps

1. Type the full address with https.
   https://www.yourcompany.com.au should load your site with a padlock and no warning.
2. Type the short address, with the https typed in.
   https://yourcompany.com.au should send you to the www version, again with no warning. Typing the https matters, because it is what browsers try first and what search engines have indexed.
3. Send yourself an email.
   From a personal address to your work one. It should arrive as normal. Nothing in this process touches your mail records, and this confirms it.

What you should see

All three pass. Your site is live at your own address and your email is untouched.

If it does not work

Check two shows a warning but check one is fine.
Your bare domain redirect is not covering secure traffic. See Make your address work without the www.

It still says waiting on DNS an hour later.
Check the records went on the right domain and have no trailing spaces. DNS does take time to spread, but not that long.
